U.S.- CHINA INDUSTRIAL EXCHANGE, INC.
ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
WITH HYSTER COMPANY

BETHESDA, MARYLAND - APRIL 16, 1997 - U.S. CHINA INDUSTRIAL EXCHANGE, INC. (Chindex) (NASDAQ:CHDX), a leading American distributor of Western construction and industrial vehicles in China, today announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Hyster Company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Chindex will provide marketing, sales and service in China for Hyster’s industrial forklift trucks and specialized container handling machinery to seaports and other transportation facilities in China.

Hyster, a world leader in specialized industrial vehicles sees the agreement with Chindex as an important part of their distribution system in China.
