ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT BETHESDA, MARYLAND (March 22, 2000) . . . . Chindex International, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHDX) (U.S.-China Industrial Exchange, Inc.), the leading independent American company providing Western healthcare products and services in the People's Republic of China, today announced it has agreed to distribute certain products of Hudson RCI (Hudson) in China. Under the agreement announced today, Chindex will begin distribution of certain Hudson anesthesia and respiratory care products for the hospital markets in China beginning this spring. Hudson is a world leader in the development and manufacture of disposable products for the respiratory care and anesthesia markets. "We are very pleased to add Hudson to our growing product portfolio serving the OR and other critical care environments here in China," Roberta Lipson, Chindex Chairperson, President and CEO commented in Beijing. "Chindex has established itself as a leading supplier of products to critical care markets in China over the past several years. We already have a great deal of experience with this market segment through our years of work with Tyco Healthcare/Kendall. Our agreement to distribute Hudson products not only insures a seamless supply of these products to the market, but also a continuing expansion of our long term growth program."
