CHINDEX ANNOUNCES DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT
WITH HUDSON RCI
Focuses on Growth of Critical Care Product Offerings to Hospital Markets

BETHESDA, MARYLAND (March 22, 2000) . . . . Chindex International, Inc. (NASDAQ: CHDX) (U.S.-China Industrial Exchange, Inc.), the leading independent American company providing Western healthcare products and services in the People's Republic of China, today announced it has agreed to distribute certain products of Hudson RCI (Hudson) in China. Under the agreement announced today, Chindex will begin distribution of certain Hudson anesthesia and respiratory care products for the hospital markets in China beginning this spring.

Hudson is a world leader in the development and manufacture of disposable products for the respiratory care and anesthesia markets.
